Picture Day Tips

Practical advice from the SmilePlease editors for Springfield families.

Arrive a little early

Getting there 10–15 minutes early on picture day makes it calmer, parking easier, and gives kids time to settle in.

Keep outfits simple

Solid colors photograph best. Skip big logos and neon; simple and timeless wins.

Watch the deadlines

Order, retake and yearbook deadlines sneak up. Put them in your phone calendar as soon as the flyer comes home.

Save the everyday moments

Art projects, recess, book fairs: the candid photos you take all year are often the ones you treasure most.
